张立新，男，博士生导师，教授，河南大学“杰出人才特区支持计划”第二层次****。1992年毕业于四川大学，获理学学士学位，1997年毕业于兰州大学，获理学博士学位，同年进入芬兰图尔库大学从事博士后研究。2000年-2018年，先后在中科院寒区旱区环境与工程研究所、兰州大学和中科院植物研究所从事光合作用研究工作，2010年-2018年任中科院植物所副所长。2000年获中国科学院“****”资助，2007年获国家****科学基金资助。“新世纪百千****才工程”国家级人选，中国青年科技奖获得者，茅以升科学技术奖-北京青年科技奖获得者。主持多项国家级重点科技项目，其中国家重点基础研究发展计划（973）2项（首席科学家），国家自然科学基金重点项目2项，国家自然科学基金国际合作项目1项。在Annual Review of Plant Biology, Nature Plants, Nature Communications, PNAS, Plant Cell等专业顶级期刊发表论文40余篇。现任国际光合作用协会执委会委员，植物学会常务理事。Photosynthesis Research副主编，Advance in Photosynthesis and Respiration, Molecular Plant、Biochim Biophys Acta Bioenergitcs等刊物编委。
研究方向：光合作用功能调控机理: 包括叶绿体基因表达调控、光合膜复合物组装、叶绿体信号转导、光合作用环境调节等。
